CHARACTER STUDY OF A CHAMPION:THE WINNING ATTITUDE

It was a romantic atmosphere in a rural community at the outskirt of a city.
Parents and children in sprightly mood. The open airy field well decorated with christmas trees and fire works display :it is christmas season !
Children's gay voices are heard as they all line up to receive presents from Santa Claus,Father Christmas.
To the amazement of all,a little boy ran into the line dressed only in pants.He became a cynosure to all.They laughed and jeered at him, but he was undeterred from getting to Mr. Santa Claus.He finally did get his presents from Santa Claus.He ran back to the mother who sat amongst friends and relations to show his presents gladly.The mother with eyes wide open said,'Tammy,don't tell me you went to meet Santa Claus wearing only pants?'. Tammy answered,'Am sorry Mom,I soiled my shirt with the delicious canned drink you gave me . I had to take off my shirt for that reason,but Mom,please take a look at my presents'. The mother hesitated,while Tammy still pleaded with her,'please,mom take a look at my presents '.Then she said,'Tammy,these are beautiful, but next time wear your shirt to meet Santa Claus'.

Dear friend, this little boy has a winning attitude you need to be a champion.
Let us see some beautiful qualities or character exhibited by little Tammy.

1.AN UNDERSTANDING ATTITUDE

The little boy had an understanding of what he really needed:"presents" from Santa Claus.To be a champion requires a good understanding of what you truly desire to have or create.You need to understand how to go about it.Little Tammy understood that joining a line will make it posssible for him to see Santa Claus and so he did.He understood the source of acquiring the presents or who the giver of presents is:Santa Claus.So also must you understand and know the source of getting your desire fulfilled or who truly can help you achieve your goal.

2.COURAGE

The little boy had a tough mental attitude that enabled him to ignore any form of shame or intimidation that would have resulted from the mockery by the othr children.
This charactr of his is best descibed as Courage.You need courage to be able to achieve your goal even in the face of criticisms and mockery.Your idea may be excellent,but others may not appreciate it.It is left for you to be courageous enough to see that your idea succeed.It is only then will others begin to believe in you.Do not be deterred from applying your creative ideas which you are convinced will produce good and positive results for you and even the skeptics at the end of the day.To be a champion you must be ready to implement the visions or imaginations of your creative mind not minding the undiscerning and sentimental opinions of the many.Succeed in your vision and hear the skeptics change the critical statements to eulogy.

3.GOOD SELF-ESTEEM

From our story the little boy never felt inferior.He did not suffer from low self-esteem.It was true he had only his pants on without a shirt,yet he was able to get presents from Santa Claus.
Low self-esteem is a destructive moth on your mental life.Value yourself!
Your colour,race,education etc. should not make you feel inferior in the midst of others.If you must excel your mind must appreciate the fact that she can achieve what she desires.Value yourself and you will boldly pursue your goal in business,sports and any other areas of life.That you could not achieve your plan yesterday is no reason to think you can not succeed today.
Have a good self-esteem not low self-esteem or an excessive self-esteem which results in pride and arrogance which are offensive stains on your character.

4.HUMILITY IN SUCCESS

Little boy Tammy despite being successful in getting presents from Santa Claus was humble to say to the mother 'sorry' for not wearing his shirt before meeting Santa Claus.Friend,you need humility in success.Don't allow your success make you rude to friends and neighbours.Despite your success accept your mistakes when pointed out to you.Humility makes you attractive to many.Humility portrays you as a responsible soul.
